About The Role

We are seeking an experienced ILS Manager to support EWIS LAND 555 and other key Electronic Warfare projects within Defence. This role will contribute to the delivery and sustainment of critical Defence capability, supporting Australia's warfighters and national security objectives.

As the ILS Manager, you will bring significant Defence ILS expertise to coordinate and deliver the various logistics elements required for project success. You will support projects across the capability lifecycle, from strategy and acquisition through to sustainment and disposal, ensuring logistics requirements are effectively planned, developed, and assured.

Working closely with Commonwealth stakeholders, contractors, and Defence personnel, you will play a key role in supporting capability delivery through the One Defence Capability System and achieving critical project milestones.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Commonwealth project team members supporting projects through the One Defence Capability System.
  • Assist with the development of key documentation required for Defence capability gate reviews.
  • Liaise with Defence and non-Defence stakeholders across multiple project areas.
  • Develop and contribute to Integrated Logistics Support artefacts supporting project progression.
  • Review Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) items.
  • Provide expert advice regarding Defence ILS policy, processes, and legislation.
  • Analyse complex logistics issues and provide recommendations to support project outcomes.
  • Support the development and maintenance of logistics planning documentation including ILS Instructions (ILSI), Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP), Defence Support Documents (DSDs), and related artefacts.
  • Contribute to Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) assurance activities supporting IOC and FOC achievement.
  • Identify risks, issues, and opportunities and proactively implement solutions.

To Be Successful

You will have:

  • An industry-recognised Integrated Logistics Support qualification or certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in Defence acquisition ILS policy, processes, and procedures.
  • Experience supporting the acquisition and sustainment of Defence capability.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across CASG, ADF, and industry.
  • Experience evaluating contractor logistics activities to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) assurance activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in relation to Defence ILS documentation and planning.
  • Experience leading teams within complex stakeholder environments.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities with minimal supervision.
  • A current NV1 security clearance with the ability to obtain NV2.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within Electronic Warfare (EW) and Land domain projects.
  • Experience working above-the-line on Defence ASDEFCON acquisition and support contracts.
  • Contract management experience supporting DSDs, DIDS, and long-term sustainment contracts.
  • Experience with logistics modules within Defence ERP systems.
  • Canberra-based candidates preferred.
