Qualifications/Experience

Essential Criteria

Health or Aged Care Experience

Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure)

Current Police Certificate/Check

Current Covid-19 Vaccination including booster & Influenza Vaccine

Impeccable time management

Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills through the use of information technology, written and verbal communication skills

Ability to follow directives and adhere to procedures and protocols in place both at Lions Haven.

Display a positive attitude through your attendance, presentation, punctuality and reliability

Promote the Lions Haven philosophy of providing Resident focused care which maintains their dignity, independence, individuality and freedom of choice

Respect each Residents individual needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences.

Responsibilities

Drive & run activities internal and external to the facility.

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a diverse range of lifestyle and recreational activities.

Individually assess the social needs of each care recipient & structure programs that are appropriate to these needs.

Encourage the participation of all care recipients in the activity program

Spend time & devote effort to the socialization of individual care recipients

Make Changes to Resident Care Plans when necessary

Liaise with volunteer organisations to match appropriate volunteers/visitors to the care recipients.

Record in the care recipient’s progress notes details of any care recipient participation in activity programs.
