About The Role
CE is seeking a practical and proactive Site HSE Officer to support construction activities within our Yatala Construction Yard. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract supporting a major ramp-up of construction works across the yard, with potential for extension.
This is a boots-on-the-ground role suited to someone who enjoys being onsite, working closely with trades and supervisors, and helping maintain a safe, compliant and productive work environment. We are looking for a tactical operator and team support person rather than a high-level strategist.
The role is fully site-based, Monday to Friday, with 6:00am starts to support daily pre-starts and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day site safety activities across switchroom construction works
- Conduct inspections, observations, conversations and compliance checks onsite
- Assist with SWMS, JSA's, Take 5's and safety documentation activities

- Practical and approachable safety professional who enjoys being onsite with crews
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction yard environment
- Confident delivering inductions and engaging directly with trades and supervisors
Required Qualifications & Tickets
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Low Voltage Rescue
- Working at Heights
- Fire Warden
- Hot Work
Essential Experience
- 2-5 years' experience within construction or industrial environments
- Experience supporting SWMS, JSA's and Take 5 processes
- Experience conducting safety inspections and field observations
- Experience delivering site inductions and toolbox interactions
