Intermediate Hydraulic Drafter | Building Services | Perth, WA
About the Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Intermediate Hydraulic Drafter to join a specialist building services consultancy delivering high-quality engineering design and documentation across a range of complex projects in Western Australia.
This role sits within the Building Services team and will see you working closely with engineers and designers to produce accurate, coordinated hydraulic documentation across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and update hydraulic services drawings including water, sewer, stormwater, and fire systems
- Translate engineering mark-ups into clear, accurate CAD/Revit documentation
- Maintain drawing standards, models, and project documentation throughout design changes
- Coordinate with engineers, drafters, and project stakeholders to ensure design intent is accurately delivered
- Support design reviews and assist in resolving technical documentation issues
- Ensure all outputs meet project deadlines, quality standards, and Australian compliance requirements
About You
- Strong experience in Hydraulic Drafting within the building services industry
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (or similar CAD platforms)
- Solid understanding of hydraulic building services systems and documentation standards
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical design intent accurately
- Familiarity with Australian Standards, codes, and hydraulic design guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project deliverables
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team approach
- Relevant qualification in drafting, engineering, or a related technical discipline
Ideal Experience
- 5+ years’ hydraulic drafting experience preferred
- Candidates with 3+ years’ experience will also be considered for the right capability and potential
