As part of this journey, they are seeking a commercially minded Senior Category Manager to take ownership of a significant portfolio of automotive market brands and help drive category performance, supplier partnerships and long-term growth.
About the Role
Reporting to the Product Portfolio Manager, this role sits at the intersection of category management, merchandising, supplier engagement and commercial strategy.
You will take ownership of a portfolio of automotive brands, leading supplier relationships, demand forecasting, inventory planning, promotional execution and pricing strategy. Working closely with sales, marketing, supply chain and operations teams, you will play a critical role in driving revenue, margin and market share outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category and brand plans that drive revenue growth and profitability
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, including commercial negotiations and promotional funding opportunities
- Lead demand forecasting and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock availability and inventory efficiency
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop and deliver annual promotional calendars and go-to-market initiatives
- Drive pricing strategy and category performance analysis to maximise revenue and margin outcomes
- Evaluate promotional effectiveness and use insights to optimise future campaigns
About You
You are a commercially astute category or merchandise professional who combines strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder management skills. You may currently be working as a Senior Category Manager, Category Manager, Merchandise Manager or Product Manager within the automotive, industrial, trade, retail or wholesale sectors. You bring a strong foundation in category management, merchandising or product leadership, with proven experience in demand forecasting, inventory management and commercial planning. You are confident managing supplier relationships and negotiating outcomes that deliver value for both the business and its partners. Highly analytical, you are comfortable working with data, Excel and ERP systems to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for growth. You have experience developing and executing category and promotional plans, and are recognised for your ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders and work effectively across multiple functions. Above all, you are a proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, can navigate ambiguity and changing priorities, and brings a commercial mindset focused on driving growth, profitability and customer outcomes.
