Due to continued growth and a focus on operational excellence, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Production Manager to join the leadership team.

About the Role Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer delivery commitments are consistently achieved.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing production, maintenance coordination, workforce planning, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, and delivery targets
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, efficiency, and cost control
  • Manage production schedules, labour planning, and resource allocation
  • Lead, coach, and develop Production Team Leaders, Operators, and maintenance personnel
  • Monitor and improve key operational KPIs including safety, quality, downtime, throughput, and productivity
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and minimise operational disruptions
  • Support inventory management and material planning activities to ensure production requirements are met
  • Foster a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with all WHS requirements
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer outcomes

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Superintendent, or similar leadership role
  • Background within manufacturing, plastics, extrusion, polymer processing, packaging, industrial processing, building products, or related industries
  • Proven ability to lead teams and improve operational performance
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, OEE, TPM, or similar methodologies
  • Experience managing production schedules, labour resources, quality standards, and maintenance activities
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • A hands-on leadership style with a genuine passion for developing people and improving processes
