Working under the guidance of the Area Supervisor and Hospital Services Manager, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality hospital services in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include maintaining clean and welcoming hospital environments, delivering meals to patients, and assisting with the safe transport of patients throughout the facility. You'll work closely with healthcare professionals and support teams, contributing directly to patient comfort, wellbeing, and care.

The Position

  • Assist in the cleaning of all Hospital areas, Medical Clinic public areas and tenancies, Theatre and other designated clinical and non-clinical areas in accordance with Duty Statements and Hospital cleaning protocols and procedures.
  • Assist in the removal of soiled linen and rubbish from designated areas in accordance with Duty Statements, Hospital policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the provision of other additional services provided by hospital services under the direction of the Hospital Services Supervisors, Managers or Duty Nurse Manager.
  • Work as part of the Food Service Team in the delivery of high quality product and service to all customers, ie; patients, families, caregivers and all others. Responsibilities include efficient delivery of service, clearing and assisting with the plating of meals and cleaning of all areas associated with food services.
  • Assist in the transportation of patients to and from Theatre and Radiology as required.

You will hold strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated commitment to customer service, flexibility to work as part of a team and ability to prioritise tasks. You will be able to meet the physical aspects of the position, for example lifting, pushing of trolleys and mopping.

To succeed you will have knowledge of Duty of Care with commitment to personal ongoing education. Previous experience in a health care setting will be highly regarded.

  • Salary: $38.49 to $39.86 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation
