People and Culture Coordinator

This is a full-time, office-based role located at our head office in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane.

As our People & Culture Coordinator, you’ll help shape the employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle — from attracting great talent and onboarding new team members to supporting employee development, engagement and workplace culture. You’ll partner with leaders across the business to build a positive, inclusive and high-performing workforce. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and onboarding new employees, with a focus on Indigenous employment pathways.
  • Partner with managers to provide practical HR advice and support across employee relations, performance management and workforce planning.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and culturally safe workplace culture aligned with Multhana’s values.
  • Support employee engagement, wellbeing and recognition initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
  • Coordinate learning and development opportunities, including training, career development and cultural awareness programs.
  • Maintain HR systems, employee records and documentation to ensure accuracy, confidentiality and compliance. Manage wage subsidies and the process.
  • Support Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives and contribute to Indigenous employment and workforce development outcomes.
  • Prepare HR reports, workforce insights and people metrics to support informed decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with community organisations, employment providers and key stakeholders to attract and retain talent.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related field
  • 2–3+ years’ experience in a HR Coordinator or People & Culture role
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice
  • National Police Check or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational and administrative capabilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Experience working with First Nations communities, Indigenous employment programs or social impact organisations will be highly regarded.

  • Competitive salary package of $70,000 – $80,000 + superannuation, depending on experience.
