Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for building and developing new sales pipeline for LodgeLink in the Australian market. The role focuses on outbound prospecting, market mapping, and early-stage customer engagement. The SDR will identify potential customers, initiate conversations, qualify opportunities, and support the commercial team in converting those opportunities into new LodgeLink clients.

This role is ideal for a high-energy, self-driven individual who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and working in a fast-paced technology environment. For the right candidate, the role offers a pathway to transition into a Junior Business Development Manager role as the Australian business grows. This role is in office with flexibility to work from home 1-2 days a week, depending on external client meetings and other business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and prospect new potential customers aligned with target industries through outbound campaigns (phone, email, and social media).
  • Build, manage, and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Conduct market mapping to identify relevant companies, projects, key stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Develop and maintain structured target account lists within defined industries.
  • Schedule and coordinate qualified discovery meetings and product demonstrations for the commercial team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospecting activity, accounts, and opportunities in Salesforce.
  • Ensure strong CRM hygiene and consistent pipeline tracking to support reporting and forecasting.
  • Utilize sales tools such as ZoomInfo, Outreach, and Regie.ai to support efficient and effective prospecting.
  • Collaborate with the APAC Leadership Team to refine target markets and ideal customer profiles.
  • Support digital onboarding of new customers through a SaaS-style engagement model.
  • Assist small to mid-size clients in adopting and effectively using the platform.
  • Drive early-stage customer engagement and platform adoption through a scalable, lower-touch approach.
  • Operate within a structured outbound framework focused on consistency, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
  • Contribute directly to customer acquisition efforts by generating new meetings and opportunities.
  • Demonstrate ownership of outbound activity, pipeline development, and overall market engagement.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or a related field.
  • Experience in outbound prospecting or inside sales is highly regarded.
  • Exposure to industries such as travel management, hospitality, workforce accommodation, or SaaS is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with sales engagement and prospecting tools is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence engaging and building rapport with new prospects.
  • High energy, strong work ethic, and self-motivation with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a small commercial team.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about industries, markets, and customer needs.
  • Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and discipline in managing activities and outcomes.
  • Ability to consistently generate opportunities through persistence, smart targeting, and structured outreach.
  • Willingness and capacity to learn quickly and grow into a broader, customer-facing commercial role.
  • Demonstrated potential and ambition to progress into a Business Development or sales-focused position.
