Freight Handler

About the role

We are currently seeking a reliable and physically fit Freight Handler to join a busy logistics operation. Working a consistent Monday to Friday roster from 5:00am to 10:00am, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of freight within a fast-paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with warehousing, freight handling or logistics experience who enjoy hands-on work and thrive in a team-focused setting.

Duties

• Loading and unloading freight from trucks and transport vehicles
• Sorting, scanning and moving freight within the depot
• Operating a forklift to safely transport freight and pallets
• Manual handling of freight and parcels of varying sizes
• Ensuring freight is scanned/processed accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment

Skills and Experience

• Current Forklift Licence (essential)
• Current Driver's Licence (essential)
• Clear National Police Check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test
• Previous experience in freight handling, warehousing or logistics highly regarded
• Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting and manual handling tasks
