Senior Project Engineer

Silverstrand is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team.

You will be based in our Brisbane sites.

Project - Caboolture - Pump station, Pipe work, Structures work.

Principle contractor and subcontractor experience on Bridges, Rail, Pipelines, Concrete works, Renewable energy, Earthworks projects.

Base Salary + Super + Vehicle + Bonus Structure

About The Role - Reporting To The Project Manager

• Working on Civil and Structures projects across Australia.
• Working with the project team to organise all required labour, plant and equipment and any other materials required to ensure project delivery as well as outlining short and medium-term workflow.
• Ensuring that the project works are completed safely and in compliance with Silverstrand and our client’s procedures, engineering drawings/ specifications, budgets and timeframes.
• Overseeing projects under the guidance of the Project Manager.
• Prepare, monitor and update plans and working to weekly and monthly programs.
• Provide engineering and technical advice to the project team.
• Assist with Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensuring quality requirements are being met.
• Programming and planning of the works.
• Preparing monthly financial reports including cost to complete forecasts.
• Compile contracts according to the Company’s project management philosophy and implement corrective actions for the efficient utilisation of plant and labour hires.
• Experience with project programming, cost and quality control, procurement and supplier engagement.
• Monitor and review work plans and programs against contractual and financial targets.
• Maintain, reconcile, and report on costing and forecast management.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar is desirable
• Minimum 7 years experience on civil infrastructure projects.
• Delivering self-perform works.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret plans.
• Programming & Cost Control.
• Excellent safety record from previous projects.
