Your new role
- Lead and maintain the AS9100-compliant Quality Management System and WHS framework
- Ensure compliance across products, processes, suppliers, and operations with regulatory and customer requirements
- Manage audits (internal and external), ensuring readiness and timely close-out of findings
- Oversee non-conformance, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes (NCR, CAR, CAPA)
- Provide quality oversight across manufacturing, inspection, testing, and product release
- Manage supplier quality, performance, and compliance activities
- Lead workplace health & safety, including risk management, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance
- Support risk, compliance, and governance activities, including reporting to senior leadership
- Drive quality and safety training, fostering strong accountability and process discipline
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across quality, safety, and operational performance
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, WHS, or a related discipline (preferred)
- AS9100 / ISO 9001 / quality management or internal auditing certification highly regarded
- Lead or Internal Auditor certification advantageous
- Extensive experience in quality management within advanced manufacturing, defence, aerospace, or similarly regulated industries
- Proven leadership in quality and safety within highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with strong discipline in process control and compliance
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with production, engineering, supply chain, and senior stakeholders
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality management systems
- Demonstrated experience working within AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent frameworks
- Strong track record managing audits, non-conformances, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
- Solid understanding of traceability, document control, inspection processes, supplier quality, and assurance systems
- Experience supporting workplace health and safety frameworks in technical or manufacturing environments
- Experience within defence, aerospace, additive manufacturing, or export-controlled environments advantageous
