Opportunity

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the Talent and Capability team, where you will deliver end-to-end recruitment across an assigned portfolio, partnering closely with hiring managers to achieve high-quality, timely outcomes that reflect the employer value proposition and values.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced recruiter who uses evidence-based approaches, proactive sourcing and labour market insights to build talent pipelines, reduce reactive recruitment and contribute to workforce resilience. This role involves national travel to support assessment centres, recruitment activities and stakeholder engagement across various locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering end-to-end recruitment across assigned portfolios, including intake, sourcing, assessment and offer, ensuring high-quality, timely and EVP-aligned hiring outcomes.
  • Partnering with hiring managers to define success profiles and selection methods, ensuring a consistent, values-aligned candidate experience.
  • Supporting targeted sourcing, talent pooling and attraction activities to build pipelines for priority and hard-to-fill roles, applying commercial acumen to all recruitment activity.
  • Collaborating with the team leader and the Outsourced Recruitment Specialist to support vendor-led activity, ensuring alignment to process, candidate experience standards and role requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate recruitment data in the ATS and contributing to reporting, providing market insights and supporting analysis of time-to-hire, quality and pipeline effectiveness.
  • Building and maintaining a collective group of trained assessors, partnering with the business to ensure consistent, inclusive and high-quality selection practices.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the organisation, promoting a compelling and consistent employer brand across all stakeholder and candidate interactions.
  • Providing regular updates and market insights to the team lead.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment across a range of role types and levels in a complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement targeted sourcing strategies, including direct search, networking and proactive outreach.
  • Strong advisory and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively with hiring managers on assessment and selection.
  • Commercial acumen in recruitment, with the ability to optimise sourcing investment and hiring efficiency.
  • Ability to interpret and apply labour market intelligence and recruitment data to inform sourcing decisions and candidate strategies.
  • Competent use of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools, with a commitment to data quality and reporting.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, including candidate and stakeholder engagement.
  • Understanding of relevant employment legislation, equity principles and recruitment governance requirements.
  • Experience in a government, transport, aviation or safety-critical organisation will be highly regarded.
