Technical Business Analyst I 3 months contract (likely to extend) I Geelong

Rate: $800 per day plus superannuation

We’re partnering with a leading organisation to find a Technical Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in a large-scale Microsoft transformation program. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across multiple initiatives, bridging business needs with innovative technology solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem.

Your new role

• Engage stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business requirements
• Translate requirements into functional specifications and user stories
• Support solution design across Microsoft technologies (e.g. SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Dynamics 365, Power Apps)
• Leverage knowledge of Microsoft platforms (e.g. SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Dynamics 365, Power Apps) to propose how these tools can be configured or extended to meet business needs. Work closely with the Microsoft Platform Architect and developers to shape solutions that are both technically feasible and business aligned.
• Coordinate across multiple projects, managing dependencies and ensuring alignment
• Act as a trusted liaison between business and technical teams
• Support testing, validation, and solution adoption
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and maximise value from Microsoft investments

Key Selection Criteria

• 5+ years’ experience in Business Analysis within technology projects
• Microsoft Ecosystem Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Microsoft platforms and applications.
• Familiarity with Office 365 productivity tools, collaboration solutions (SharePoint, Teams), data analytics tools (Power BI), automation and app development tools (Power Automate, Power Apps), or other relevant Microsoft technologies.
• Comfortable discussing technical capabilities and limitations of these tools when shaping solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience working across Agile and/or traditional delivery environments
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering business value and outcomes
