About the Role We are seeking an experienced Content Writer to support a national initiative to consolidate and standardise Member Centre websites for Australian mutuals, including organisations supporting local government and community-based communities.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, national teams, designers, developers, and Member Centre owners to create, review, optimise, and publish high-quality digital content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Member Centre owners, to identify content gaps and develop targeted, high-quality content.
  • Support national teams in reviewing and auditing existing content across all managed Member Centres to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Produce clear, error-free content that aligns with brand voice, style guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Interpret creative briefs and translate key messages into compelling, persuasive copy tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Plan, research, and write engaging articles, blog posts, web pages, and other content formats for Member Centres.
  • Proofread and edit content to correct spelling, grammar, tone, and style issues, ensuring polished final deliverables.
  • Update and revise existing copy to align with evolving style standards and Member Centre requirements.
  • Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to optimise content visibility and relevance.
  • Identify and address client and member content needs by creating relevant, value-driven materials.
  • Develop and structure Member Centre pages with well-organised, user-friendly content.
  • Upload, format, and publish content on Member Centre platforms, ensuring proper layout and functionality.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure content integrates seamlessly with visual and technical elements.

About You You are a confident digital content professional with strong writing, editing, and stakeholder engagement skills. You can take complex or varied information and turn it into clear, accessible, and engaging content for different audiences.

You will bring

  • Proven experience in content writing, copywriting, digital content, or web content production.
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience writing for websites, blogs, articles, and other digital formats.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and keyword research.
  • Ability to follow brand voice, tone, style, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders, designers, developers, or content owners.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple content tasks across several websites or projects.
  • Confidence using content management systems or web publishing platforms.
  • A practical, collaborative approach and the ability to work to project timelines.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working on website migration, consolidation, or content standardisation projects.
  • Exposure to member-based organisations, mutuals, insurance, risk, claims, local government, or community-based sectors.
  • Familiarity with accessibility, user experience, or content design principles.
