Margaret Court Arena hosts a diverse range of live entertainment, sport and corporate events, and our Event Coordinators play a vital role in delivering safe, seamless, and high-quality experiences. ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting into the Senior Event Manager, the Event Coordinator will be responsible for supporting Front of House including venue administration, event planning and certain elements of event delivery, assisting with organisational projects and contributing to Australian Open planning and delivery.

You’ll work closely with promoters, partners, emergency services and internal teams to deliver events that balance safety, service and stakeholder expectations.

This role suits a relatively new face to the industry looking to take their skills to the next level, but also someone who can connect planning, people and performance in high-pressure environments.

WHAT YOU’LL FOCUS ON

Event Delivery & Operations

  • Event planning support and coordination
  • Coordination of event activations and VIP experiences
  • Fulfilling the role of Team Leader in a range of functions during events, at times leading small teams of our event delivery workforce

Planning & Risk Management

  • Ensuring effective processing of financial documentation including purchase orders, invoicing and procurement of resources
  • Venue preparation and checks prior to events

Customer & Commercial Outcomes

  • Champion client and guest experience
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Contribute to accurate forecasting, cost control and continuous improvement

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

You’re an experienced event champion who understands the complexity of delivering major events within a live venue environment. You bring strong operational capability, an understanding of risk and a people-first approach.

You’ll bring

  • Demonstrated event coordination or administration experience (3 plus years), with an understanding across a range of functions, and a proven ability to multi-task;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Event Management or equivalent and experience working or volunteering at events or sporting clubs;
  • Proven experience in a customer service-related environment, with some supervision experience of staff;
  • A passion and drive to grow and develop a career in the sporting and event entertainment industry.
