About The Role

Joining us as a Tournament Operations Manager, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end delivery of Tennis Victoria’s tournament portfolio, ensuring events are well‑planned, professionally delivered, and continually improved to support a positive experience for players, clubs, and partners.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the planning, delivery and evaluation of Tennis Victoria tournaments across assigned portfolio, covering up to 25+ events.
  • Leading key tournaments as Tournament Director, taking responsibility for on‑the‑ground decision‑making, event flow, and overall competition management
  • Managing the Endorsed Events process from application through to approval and communication.
  • Overseeing event finances by monitoring budgets, tracking performance, and ensuring events operate sustainably.
  • Driving revenue growth by identifying and implementing opportunities to strengthen the financial success of competitive play events.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders including clubs, venues, community organisers, Member Associations, and partners.

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Experience coordinating or managing the operational delivery of sporting events, tournaments, or large‑scale programs.
  • Ability to deliver outcomes in complex environments with peak workload periods and time‑critical decision‑making.
  • Proven experience managing event budgets, monitoring financial performance, and working within financial delegations.
  • Familiarity with event management systems, scheduling tools, or sports administration platforms.
  • Relevant qualifications in sport or event management or a related discipline.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
