The opportunity
Our Finance team is at the heart of Netwealth’s growth story, shaping performance and ensuring we meet high standards of governance. With major transformation projects underway, including ERP implementation and process automation, it’s an exciting time to join as we continue to modernise and build for scale.
We’re looking for a Financial Accountant who wants to build their capability beyond core reporting. In this role, you’ll support month end processes, gain exposure to technical accounting and work closely with stakeholders across the business. You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate reporting while continuing to grow your skillset.
Key responsibilities include
- Support the month end, half year and year end close, including journals, reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and statutory reporting in line with AASB and IFRS
- Contribute to monthly reporting packs with clear and concise commentary
- Support audits and help ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
- Assist with BAS and tax related deliverables in partnership with external advisers
- Contribute to process improvements and support finance transformation initiatives including ERP implementation
About You
You’re an early to mid career Financial Accountant who is keen to learn, build your technical skills and take on more responsibility over time.
Your skills include:
- CPA or CA qualified or working towards it
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or similar
- 3+ years’ accounting experience, ideally in financial services, funds management or a corporate environment
- Working knowledge of AASB or IFRS and exposure to financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear communication skills and willingness to collaborate with different teams
- A positive attitude and curiosity to keep learning
