Rate: $150,000 + super

A leading global marketing agency is seeking an experienced and commercially minded People & Culture Manager to join their team on a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Corporate Services Director, this is a true generalist leadership role where you will take ownership of the full P&C function, balancing strategic direction with hands-on operational delivery. You will play a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing, values-aligned workplace while partnering closely with senior leaders to drive people outcomes across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the People & Culture strategy in alignment with broader business objectives, contributing to business planning through a people and capability lens
  • Lead organisational design and end-to-end workforce planning, including forecasting, job design, and role clarity to ensure the business is structured for success
  • Oversee all P&C operations, governance, and compliance, maintaining strong standards across employee data, reporting, and people-related risk management
  • Develop and present meaningful people metrics and insights to leadership, driving continuous improvement across HR systems and reporting capability
  • Lead talent acquisition and employer brand initiatives, ensuring attraction, onboarding, and retention strategies remain competitive and effective
  • Manage remuneration frameworks including benchmarking and annual review processes, ensuring recommendations are aligned to market conditions and business performance
  • Champion employee wellbeing, sustainable performance, and workplace health and safety across the organisation
  • Lead, develop, and support the People & Culture team, fostering a collaborative, solutions-focused environment with clear priorities and accountability

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in a generalist HR role, with demonstrated experience at a management level
  • Relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of employment relations, legislation, and compliance
  • Proven experience in organisational design, workforce planning, and leadership development
  • Experience within a creative, agency, or fast-paced commercial environment highly desirable
