Events & Social Media Coordinator

Our client is looking for a creative, proactive Events & Social Media Coordinator to help bring our events to life and showcase them online.

This is a flexible ~10 hours per week role, ideal for someone who thrives in a social, fast-paced environment and enjoys both planning experiences and creating engaging content.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll play a key role across both events and digital - helping source entertainment, support event execution, and create content that captures the energy of what we do.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Events

  • Research and book entertainment (DJs, performers, activations)
  • Liaise with talent, suppliers, and partners
  • Assist in planning and coordinating events
  • Attend events as needed to help with execution

Social Media

  • Plan and create content (posts, reels, stories)
  • Capture live event content
  • Schedule and publish posts
  • Engage with our audience (comments, messages)
  • Track performance and suggest improvements

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in social media, events, or marketing
  • Confident creating content (photo/video + captions)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proactive and able to work independently
  • Available for occasional evening/weekend event coverage
  • Bonus: connections in the local entertainment/events scene

REMUNERATION

  • Approx. 10 hours per week
  • $35–$50 per hour (depending on experience)
  • or flexible retainer arrangement (commission opportunities)
