We're leading Western Australians to their intelligent energy future.

And we want you to be part of it.

You might know us as Western Australia's largest electricity generator and energy retailer, supporting 1.2 million customers across the state.

But what you might not know, is that we’re investing in renewable energy projects, including wind farms and big batteries, to help build a more sustainable and reliable future.

Our big batteries are now live in Kwinana and Collie, we’re expanding the Warradarge Wind Farm, building the new King Rocks Wind Farm, and we have many other projects in the works.

We're a purpose-driven organisation, owned by the people of WA. Our commitment is to ensure all Western Australians have access to secure, reliable, and sustainable energy.

We believe that the benefits of renewable energy aren’t just for some, they're for everyone.

Role Description

The Pricing Strategy & Financial Performance Lead is an exciting opportunity within our Customer Marketing team based in Perth. This leadership role is critical to supporting the Customer Business Unit by shaping pricing strategy, portfolio performance, and risk‑informed financial outcomes through modelling and scenario analysis.

You will lead a high-performing team and partner with Sales, Products, Finance, and Trading to drive data‑driven, customer‑centric decisions. You’ll oversee retail price modelling, portfolio forecasting, and scenario analysis, while guiding pricing strategies across a complex and evolving market.

With a strong commercial and risk-based lens, you will assess portfolio risks and opportunities, ensure pricing governance, and translate market, regulatory, behavioural, and financial drivers into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders. This role suits a strategically minded leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is driven by modelling and analytical insight, particularly those from actuarial, pricing, or advanced analytics backgrounds.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high performing Pricing Strategy and Financial Performance team, ensuring delivery of high-quality pricing, modelling, and commercial insights.
  • Drive long-term planning for the Customer Business Unit, including demand and revenue forecasting, scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and key driver assessment, to support strategic decision making.
  • Define, implement, and govern pricing strategies and methodologies across contestable markets and customer products, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market dynamics, and customer behaviour.
  • Provide trusted commercial advice by analysing market, regulatory, customer behavioural, and financial drivers, identifying risks and opportunities, and translating complex models into actionable insights.
  • Oversee portfolio performance and value outcomes, including margin optimisation, sensitivity analysis, and performance tracking, to support continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Science, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline, with strong commercial acumen and a risk-aware, commercially focused analytical mindset.
  • Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to lead, influence, and develop high-performing teams.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a senior analytics, pricing, actuarial, or modelling role, with demonstrated ability to interpret complex market, behavioural, and pricing drivers impacting portfolio performance and value outcomes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of influencing decision making and presenting complex data clearly and concisely for non-technical audiences.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience proactively building and applying models to assess uncertainty, sensitivities, trade-offs, and risk exposure; experience with Power BI, Python, or R desirable.
