About the Role

The Head of Asset Performance and Operations will lead the operational excellence and performance optimisation across the asset portfolio. This strategic role is responsible for establishing and managing remote monitoring and control systems, reviewing energy trading strategies, and ensuring maximum value creation from our assets. Leading a team of technicians

providing 24/7 monitoring and fault response this role is pivotal to maximising asset efficiency and minimising asset downtime.

  • Establish and oversee a remote operations center providing 24/7 monitoring and control of unmanned renewable energy assets;
  • Implement robust remote monitoring systems that enable real time performance tracking and fault detection;
  • Develop standardised response protocols for various operational scenarios;
  • Build and lead a team of technicians ensuring continuous operational oversight;
  • Analyse asset performance data to identify optimization opportunities and performance trends;
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximise energy generation and storage efficiency;
  • Develop and maintain performance reporting frameworks with meaningful KPIs;
  • Benchmark asset performance against industry standards and internal targets;
  • Work with finance and commercial team to ensure alignment between operational capabilities and market opportunities;
  • Identify and address budget or schedule variances early and promptly;
  • Identify, mitigate, manage and report risk and risk controls;
  • Ensure ESGC (Environmental, Social, Governance and Compliance) measured and impacts are considered and addressed through the projects;
  • Ensure appropriate technical solutions are implemented across the pipelines of projects;
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and industry standards;
  • Establish, maintain and report quality standards for all project deliverables;
  • Maintain sufficient understanding of renewable technologies to effectively evaluate proposals and guide employees and consultants;
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure developed projects meet targeted operational requirements;
  • Stay informed of technological developments and their implications for project development.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or related field;
  • Proven experience in delivering renewable energy projects, particularly solar, battery storage, or hybrid systems;
  • Experience in maintenance management and contractor oversight;
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems, operational technology, and digital monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and construction methodologies;
  • Solid understanding of the renewable energy landscape, including solar, BESS, hydro and emerging technologies
