About The Roles

Are you a reliable driver with an HR/MR licence who loves keeping the community looking its best? We are currently partnering with multiple local councils across Melbourne to recruit dedicated Street Cleansing Driver/Operators to join their active City Infrastructure divisions.

If you are an early riser who enjoys a dynamic outdoor environment where no two days are the same, this is your chance to step into a secure, well-regarded public sector service framework.

  • Manual Labour Support: Conducting physical sweeping and debris removal around urban impediments (traffic islands, planter boxes, and shopping precincts) where large sweepers cannot reach.
  • Vehicle & Asset Maintenance: Performing routine daily pre-start safety checks, reporting mechanical faults immediately, and ensuring your vehicle is washed, cleaned, and disinfected for the next shift.
  • Public Courtesy: Acting as a professional face of the council while working in the public eye, managing resident inquiries politely, and reporting asset defects (like potholes or fallen branches) to your supervisor.
