We're looking for an experienced and hands-on technology leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Systems Administration team, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance while ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-performing IT services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, systems, and network issues across Linux, macOS, and Windows environments.
  • Administer and support studio infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization platforms, backups, and endpoint devices
  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle of laptops, workstations, and thin clients.
  • Support enterprise platforms and services including Okta, Microsoft 365, Ceridian, ADP, and production applications such as Maya and Nuke.
  • Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Production, Operations, and Support teams to ensure reliable and efficient technology services.
  • Identify recurring issues, drive root-cause analysis, and implement operational improvements.
  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, disaster recovery plans, and security best practices.
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects, upgrades, and technology initiatives involving platforms such as Proxmox, Ovirt, StorNext, Ceph, Ruckus, Mellanox, and Sophos.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance activities and help ensure high levels of service delivery across the studio.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure, or a related IT role, with demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise across Linux, macOS, and Windows environments, with advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise infrastructure, including networking, virtualization, storage, backup solutions, security, and cloud technologies (AWS experience advantageous).
  • Experience supporting production-focused environments such as VFX, animation, gaming, media, or other creative industries is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment
