MyState Bank is delivering one of the most significant transformation programs in our history. OneCore will bring together a single, modern core banking platform in partnership with our vendor, enabling simpler, faster, and more resilient banking experiences for our customers.

We’re inviting expressions of interest for a Payments Business Lead to join the OneCore program on a 12‑month internal contract. This role is a chance to play a key part in shaping how payments operate across the Bank as we move to our future‑state core platform.

Location: Brisbane OR Hobart (only)

The Opportunity

As Payments Business Lead, you’ll bring deep understanding of payment products, processes, and regulatory considerations into the OneCore program. You’ll act as the primary business representative for payments, working closely with internal stakeholders and TCS to ensure our future payments capability is fit for purpose, compliant, and customer‑centric.

This role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and change. You’ll help define how payments are designed, delivered, and transitioned within a large‑scale transformation—while building invaluable experience in enterprise delivery and modern core banking.

What Success Looks Like

In This Role, You Will

  • Represent payments business needs across the OneCore program
  • Lead business input into payments design, requirements, and solution decisions
  • Partner with Technology, Risk, and Operations to manage impacts and dependencies
  • Support regulatory, controls, and compliance considerations within payments
  • Identify risks and opportunities that affect payments outcomes and customer experience
  • Engage stakeholders to support readiness and smooth transition to the new platform
