Your Role as Works Coordinator
The Works Coordinator supports the Facilities Supervisor in delivering effective facilities management across the region. This role involves coordinating work schedules, supervising trades and contractors, and ensuring high standards of maintenance, safety, and cleanliness are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking all tasks in a safe manner and follow all instructions for Workplace Health and Safety.
- Providing clear leadership with positive and constructive communication always.
- Ensuring that Facilities Management functions are performed diligently, to the agreed standard and in a timely manner.
- Communicating clearly, and with compassion, to elderly residents in their home whilst carrying out work.
- Maintaining a sound level of the suitability of processes and suitable equipment to ensure efficient practices.
- Providing timely and accurate records to Administration staff to ensure timely processing of data.
- Supporting new and experienced staff, contractors and volunteers in performing tasks.

What We’re Looking For
- Trade qualifications in Carpentry related functions and a minimum 3 years work experience (preferably in a health care, campus or similar environment).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of trade practices including task planning, SWMS development and oversight of function.
- Understanding and commitment to customer service, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
Essential Requirements
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
- Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
