About the Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Delivery team on an initial 12-month contract based in North Sydney.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of water infrastructure projects, providing technical and engineering support across the project lifecycle. Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors and clients, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with infrastructure, utilities or water sector experience who enjoys being involved in both technical and project delivery activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in coordinating project scope, budget, schedules and delivery activities.
- Develop and maintain project plans, work packages and delivery programs.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Provide technical oversight by reviewing and interpreting designs, specifications and construction documentation.
- Monitor project quality and compliance through site inspections, hold points and quality assurance activities.
- Support the management of project risks, safety requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Assist with commissioning, handover and transition of completed assets to Operations.
- Prepare project reporting, progress updates and technical documentation as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering infrastructure, utilities or water projects of medium complexity.
- Strong project coordination skills across design, procurement and construction activities.
- The ability to interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to safety, quality and risk management.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
