About the role
You will provide specialist career development, transition support and coordination services to improve education, training and employment participation and outcomes for young people enrolled in the VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) program at Federation College.
You will:
provide specialist transition support for VCE VM students adapting to diverse educational, life and learning experiences;
provide consistent, high quality, student centred career and pathways service;
provide expert advice to VCE VM teaching and support staff on career pathways, further study and employment opportunities; and
coordinate and manage Work Experience opportunities for VCE VM students.
About you
Reporting to the Program Manager, Business Technology and Education you will have demonstrated ability to engage effectively with students from diverse educational backgrounds, including those who may experience barriers to learning, employment or further training, using inclusive, strengths ‑ based and student ‑ centred approaches.
You will possess:
proven knowledge of education, training and employment pathways relevant to young people;
demonstrated experience in providing career development, pathway planning and transition support to young people;
demonstrated high ‑ level interpersonal, communication and relationship ‑ building skills; and
demonstrated well ‑ developed problem ‑ solving and decision ‑ making skills.
