St Bernardine’s OSHC as a Coordinator and be part of a service where team culture, support, and quality programs come together to create something genuinely special.
You’ll be working alongside an experienced Coordinator, sharing the role in a way that allows you to focus on leadership, build strong relationships, and contribute meaningfully to the service—without feeling like you’re doing it all alone.
Our service is licensed for 165 children and offers Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care, with a strong focus on creating a welcoming, engaging, and consistent environment for every child.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care programs
- Lead, support, and inspire a team of educators to deliver high-quality care and experiences
- Plan and implement engaging, play-based programs aligned with children’s interests.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and the school community.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
Requirements of the Role
- Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
- Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis.
- Consent to being the Nominated Supervisor.
- Strong understanding of Childcare legislation, including National Quality Framework, Standards, and My Time Our Place.
- Previous childcare service management experience.
- Child Protection training is required for this role.
- Proficient with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership skills for team development.
