• Location: Canberra-ACT, Brisbane-QLD, Melbourne-VIC, Sydney-NSW
• Initial Contract: 12 months contract
• Must be an Australian Citizen with an active Baseline clearance and the ability to obtain an NV1 clearance.

FinXL is currently seeking a senior Program Manager for a large-scale transformation project with a Federal Government Agency. In this role, you will lead the planning and management of the transition to operations and support, driving release and go-live readiness across both business and IT streams. This position is offered on a hybrid basis, with a preference for candidates located in Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an integrated transition plan within an Agile environment, covering service acceptance, handover, stabilisation, and knowledge transfer.
• Build and maintain exceptional relationships across business, IT, program leadership, and operational teams to drive coordinated decisions.
• Ensure transition activities align seamlessly with agency methodologies, existing governance, and assurance frameworks.
• Lead cross-organisational dependency and risk management, tracking critical paths, constraints, and treatment actions.
• Deliver high-quality, audit-ready reporting and briefings to program leadership and the Executive on readiness visibility and assurance outcomes.
• Coordinate stage gates, operational acceptance, and handover activities with service, support, and business owners to ensure full operational readiness.

Technical Skill & Experience

• Demonstrated experience delivering within large-scale government modernisation or transformation programs.
• Proven experience leading transition to operations and support within complex organisational transformation initiatives.
• Strong track record of coordinating transition activities and operational handovers across business, program, and support stakeholders.
• Proven understanding of Agile delivery and P3M disciplines within a government setting.
• Extensive experience establishing governance, assurance frameworks, readiness measures, and executive reporting across complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
• Strong capability in managing cross-organisational dependencies, risks, and critical path issues.
