About the Role
We’re looking for a Site Safety Coordinator to support the safe delivery of projects across South Australia. Working closely with our project and EHSQ teams, you’ll coordinate site safety activities, support compliance with WHS legislation and SHAPE EHSQ systems, and help promote a strong Safety First culture from project entry through to completion. The role involves regular site presence, supporting inspections, safety documentation, incident reporting and risk management across active projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support site teams to comply with WHS legislation and SHAPE EHSQ systems
- Conduct daily site walks to identify hazards and track corrective actions
- Coordinate site inductions, inspections, toolbox talks and safety activities
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
- Support preparation and review of risk registers, SWMS and safety plans
- Maintain safety documentation, registers and site signage
About You
You’re a safety‑focused professional who enjoys working closely with site teams to maintain safe and compliant environments. You communicate clearly, build strong relationships with subcontractors and project teams, and take a proactive approach to identifying and managing risk. You’re organised, detail‑oriented and motivated to help embed a strong Safety First culture across our projects.
Key Requirements
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- Experience in a safety role within the construction industry
- Knowledge of WHS legislation and construction safety standards
- Experience with inspections, audits and incident investigations
- Ability to prepare and review risk assessments and safety documentation
- Strong communication and ability to influence site teams
- Collaborative approach with a strong safety‑first mindset
