We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our Property Management team in Canberra, working with a major national institutional client.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the facilities management of two prime commercial towers in the CBD. This is a high-profile portfolio where your technical expertise will directly influence asset performance and client outcomes.
Reporting to the Portfolio Director, and fully supported by our high performing team, you will be responsible for the efficient, cost-effective operation, maintenance and development of all building services within the assets.
Here's a snapshot of your day;
- Manage services supporting building environments and specialist service providers including but not limited to essential fire safety systems, mechanical services, BMCS, UPS, Emergency Power Generation systems, critical environments, and hydraulic services.
- Manage operating expenditure and ensure efficient, sustainable and cost-effective maintenance and operation of all plant and equipment
- Manage Capital works and tenancy fit outs as required
- Carry out building inspections and action findings.
- Monitor, report and improve the Environmental performance of the asset
- Deliver superior customer service and develop key tenant stakeholder engagement by providing effective and timely communications to our Tenants and Stakeholders
- Provide guidance and recommendations to our Client on technical and operational matters
Key strengths and experience you'll need to be successful;
- Demonstrated experience as a Commercial Facilities Manager
- Trade background in either Mechanical or Electrical services and project management experience is preferred but not essential
- Sound ESG and WHS knowledge and experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Proven experience in managing services supporting critical environments
- Experience in managing Capital works and tenancy fit outs
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages and BMS systems
