Your role at St John of God Ballarat Hospital

We are seeking to fill several positions within our Hospitals Hospitality Service Teams, on a permanent part-time and casual basis. Our teams have a range of shifts and hours available from Monday to Sunday (day & night) across the following fields:

  • Chefs – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent chef qualification required
  • Cooks - Certificate II in Cookery or equivalent required (options for non-trade)
  • Food Services Assistant/Kitchenhand/Barista

About You

Successful applicants must hold the relevant certificate/qualification to your field of work, have sound communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment and be an effective team member.

Above all, patient care will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.

We can offer you

  • FSA hourly rate: $27.52 to $28.64 p/hr (plus casual loading if on a casual contract) plus 12% Superannuation
  • Chef hourly rate: $32.76 to $33.66 p/hr (plus casual loading if on a casual contract) plus 12% Superannuation
  • Cook (trade qualified) hourly rate: $31.26 to $32.16 p/hr (plus casual loading if on a casual contract) plus 12% Superannuation
  • Permanent part-time & Casual positions available
  • We offer a range of salary packaging options tailored to your employment status such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses – up to $18,550 as a permanent employee and a percentage of your earnings as a casual
