Job Description
- Prepare and manage financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts to support the organisation's financial planning.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
- Provide support to the Accounting & Finance department in other ad-hoc tasks as needed.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Senior Accountant Should Have
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional accreditation such as CA or CPA (or working towards).
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting and analysis within the engineering industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
