Uplyft are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cook to play a vital role in supporting the health, wellbeing and development of children aged 0–5 years through the planning, preparation and delivery of nutritious, culturally inclusive meals that meet all food safety and health regulations.

About you

To be succesful in this role you need to demonstrate the following:

  • Accredited Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proven experience planning and preparing nutritious, balanced meals
  • Experience in food preparation and kitchen hygiene, ideally within a childcare or education setting
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices and Workplace Health & Safety requirements
  • Ability to manage food ordering and meal planning within a budget
  • Understanding of children’s nutritional needs, dietary requirements and allergies
  • Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment and supporting children’s wellbeing
