The Opportunity

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant to join our Carlton team. Working closely with Accredited Family Law Specialists, Special Counsel and Associates, you will play a key role in ensuring matters progress efficiently and clients receive exceptional service throughout their legal journey. Your responsibilities will include:

• Liaising professionally with clients, barristers, experts and other stakeholders
• Managing diaries, appointments and key deadlines
• Preparing and formatting correspondence and court documents
• Compiling eBriefs to Counsel, Court Books and financial material
• Filing and managing documents through the Commonwealth Courts Portal
• Providing general administrative and practice support to the Family Law team

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will

• Have previous experience as a Legal Assistant in Family Law
• Be familiar with the Commonwealth Courts Portal and eBrief preparation
• Possess excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Have strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism
• Be proactive, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Enjoy working in an environment where no two days are the same
