Forming a critical part of our Truganina NDC leadership team, as the HSE Lead you will partner with a variety of stakeholders to implement site specific HSSE initiatives to drive best practice, risk management and to continue to foster a strong safety culture. Your passion for the coaching and development of others will proactively support our drive toward a culture of zero incidents and an optimum environmental footprint.

How You Will Contribute

You will:

  • Have demonstrated experience in the HSE space, with previous operational experience advantageous
  • Lead the implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes
  • Have a strong understanding of OHS Act, Regulations, and standards
  • Provide support in maintaining the State Self-insurance through the maintenance of Risk Management systems, preparation for Self-insurance audits and closing out corrective actions where required.
  • Act as the Health and Safety SME for all site projects and change management activities
  • Follow up on non-conformances and develop the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis
  • Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system, assist with investigating incidents in conjunction with the HSE Pillar team/safety committee and drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels
  • A passion for the coaching and development of others
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety
  • Tertiary education in an applicable field
