We are currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our high-performing Packaging Glass Line team on a permanent full-time basis!

This is a Day-time only position that reports to the Team Leader, working only 4 days a week, the shift pattern is:

  • Monday 6am-2pm, Tuesday 6am-6pm, Wednesday 6am-6pm and Thursday 6am to 2pm

You will play a critical role in ensuring the ongoing reliability of our packaging assets across our Tooheys Brewery. Working with an iconic brand, this role will support the delivery of production rates through minimising waste events related to machine efficiency on-site.

Some of the things you’ll be doing in the role:

  • Provide maintenance support to the equipment on-site
  • Develop specialist technical skills in equipment and use those for troubleshooting and improvements with production teams
  • Work on some of the latest robotic and packaging technologies or sophisticated brewing processes
  • Supervising contractors attending the site for equipment maintenance
  • Champion a safety-first culture across the Brewery

Some of the skills you will bring to the role:

  • Mechanical trade qualification or equivalent
  • Any experience working on beverage, packaging, robotics or processing equipment would be highly regarded
  • Decision-making in ambiguous situations
  • Experience within brewing or manufacturing is highly desirable but not essential.
