PROJECT CONTROL COORDINATOR

Are you passionate about data analysis, driving continuous improvement and project controls? GPC is seeking a Project Control Coordinator to play a pivotal role in improving and coordinating our project portfolio governance and reporting.

About The Role

As a Project Control Coordinator, you will support the development of reporting solutions, undertake data mapping and analysis activities, and help improve how project information is structured, managed, and reported across the portfolio. You’ll conduct stage gate reviews, helping guide executive decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.

The role is well suited to someone who enjoys analysing data, improving processes, developing reporting capability, and working with stakeholders to improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the continuous improvement of project control and portfolio management system functionality, data governance, and business processes.
  • Improve and maintain the data structures that support project and portfolio management and reporting.
  • Undertake data and process mapping activities to support system and business process changes.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and automated workflows to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct gate check reviews to ensure project submissions are ready and comply with established procedures and standards.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to project teams to uplift the quality of project submissions and reporting.
  • Analyse portfolio performance data and coordinate monthly portfolio performance review meetings with business leaders

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong analytical capability, including an aptitude for data structures, analysis and visualisation with the ability to interpret and work with complex datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly develop proficiency across complex systems and reporting environments, including project portfolio management systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Excel, and SSRS).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach, influence, and build effective working relationships across teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience or exposure to project monitoring and control, including budget, schedule, forecast, and stage gate reporting is highly regarded.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • C Class driver’s licence (mandatory).
  • Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or ability to obtain (mandatory).
  • Graduate-level training in project management, engineering, business analytics, or equivalent experience (desirable).
