THE ORGANISATION
Our client is a large-scale, multi-site food manufacturing and distribution business with a national footprint of approximately 2,500 employees across ANZ. With a strong operational heritage and a clear focus on people performance, the organisation is currently undergoing meaningful transformation across its People and Culture function. Following an independent review, the business has established specialist centres of excellence to elevate its HR capability, including a newly formed Learning and Organisational Development function. This is an organisation that takes its people agenda seriously and is investing accordingly.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Learning and Organisational Development, the Organisational Development Specialist is a newly created, high-impact position sitting at the intersection of the OD centre of excellence and the broader operational people and culture teams. The role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating a suite of OD programs and initiatives across Australia and New Zealand. Key areas of focus include the redesign and ownership of the corporate onboarding and induction program, learning needs analysis for corporate employees, and supporting the development of performance cycles, engagement initiatives, talent and succession planning, leadership development, and diversity, inclusion and belonging programs. The role also serves as the primary point of contact for the New Zealand operation, ensuring alignment with broader people frameworks. This is an office-based role located in Western Suburbs with flexible start and finish times and free on-site parking. Salary on offer is $140,000 to $150,000 + super + 10% bonus.
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will bring a minimum of five years’ experience in an organisational development or L&D specialist role, with a demonstrated track record of delivering programmatic, evidence-based OD initiatives. You will be comfortable conducting learning needs analysis, working with LMS platforms, and applying evaluation frameworks such as Kirkpatrick to demonstrate return on investment. Certifications in coaching, personality testing or culture assessments will be well regarded. Critically, you are someone who can build strong relationships across geographies, navigate matrix structures with ease, and bring genuine energy and curiosity to solving people challenges. You are pragmatic, solutions-focused, and confident, translating OD thinking into practical outcomes that land well at the operational level.
