As the NPI Technician on a 8/6 roster, reporting to the Group Maintenance & Asset Manager, you will provide essential technical support for all accommodation and village infrastructure, ensuring that remote facilities remain safe, comfortable, and fully operational at our various sites for the site workforce.

  • General Repairs: Perform routine building maintenance, including basic carpentry, painting, flyscreen repairs, and furniture assembly.
  • Infrastructure Checks: Conduct regular inspections of potable water systems, sewage plants, and lighting to identify and fix faults early.
  • HVAC Maintenance: Clean and replace filters for air conditioning units in accommodation rooms and common areas. Groundskeeping: Maintain camp surrounds, including basic landscaping, waste management, and ensuring walkways are clear and safe.
  • Work Orders: Execute tasks assigned via CMMS or the site's maintenance management system, ensuring all data is captured accurately.
  • Emergency Response: Attend to urgent issues like burst pipes or power outages to minimize disruption to camp residents.

About you:

  • Trade/Skillset: A recognised trade qualification (e.g., Carpentry, Plumbing, or Electrical) is highly preferred, though "handyperson" experience in a commercial/industrial setting may be considered.
  • Remote Experience: Prior experience in FIFO mining camps or remote site operations is a major advantage.
  • Safety Mindset: A proven commitment to Take Five risk assessments and site safety protocols.
  • Licensing: Must hold a valid Manual Driver’s License. High-Risk Work licenses (e.g., EWP or Forklift) are required.
