About Our Centre

Welcome to Milestones Coomera! We are a 75-place centre with a strong focus on supporting children to develop healthy habits from an early age. Our team is passionate about nutrition, wellbeing, and creating positive food experiences that support children’s growth and development.

We are now seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Centre Cook to join our fun, supportive team.

About the Role

In this role, you will play an important part in shaping children’s daily experiences through nutritious, well-balanced meals.

You will:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver healthy, age-appropriate meals
• Create engaging menus that support children’s growth and development
• Utilise the Feed Australia program to plan and manage meals effectively
• Collaborate with a national network of centre cooks, sharing ideas, recipes, and best practice
• Contribute to educational opportunities by promoting healthy eating with children and families

About You

You are an organised and capable cook who takes pride in preparing nutritious meals in a fast-paced environment.

You will bring:

• Experience in bulk meal preparation, ordering, stock management, and budget control
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and compliance requirements
• The ability to cater to allergies, dietary needs, and cultural requirements
• A genuine interest in educating children about healthy food choices
• A team-focused approach and positive attitude

What You’ll Need

• Current Food Safety / Food Handler Certificate
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) – desirable
• Experience in an early childhood setting (highly regarded)
• Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, and CPR certification
• Reliable transport
