Contract Administrator

We’re on the lookout for a driven, switched-on Contracts Administrator to join our team. This role is all about keeping projects on track – financially and contractually – so our builds run smoothly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and let contracts to subcontractors and suppliers to maintain the construction and resources schedule.
- Assist in the administration of subcontractor performance against the scope of works and construction program and control authorisation of variations, extensions of time and payments.
- Ensure that subcontractor payment claims and supplier invoices are assessed and processed within the required timeframes.
- Prepare and assist in the maintenance of cost control, forecast revisions and project financial reporting.
- Prepare head contract payment claims, client correspondence and any other head contract obligatory requirements to be checked and assessed by Senior Contracts Administrator
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers within discipline(s) by review of tender design, preparation of scope and technical documentation, preparation of S/C tender list, management of tender process, vetting and recommending tenders, and engaging subcontractors.
- Coordination of activities and tasks associated with the development of overall planning and programming.
- Assist in the establishment and monitoring of the procurement program and off-site activity schedule
- Assist with subcontract management and subcontract administration, including assistance in preparation of monthly final forecast cost estimates (FFC’s) for trade packages
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering (or similar).
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Contracts Administrator (ideally on large-scale projects over $40M).
- Sharp communication skills and a knack for problem-solving.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work with all kinds of people.
- Knowledge of Sydney’s construction market is a bonus.
