The Role Day-to-Day
The Electrical Assembler plays a crucial role in the Defence & Military sector by assembling and testing electrical components and systems. This permanent, full-time position based in Scoresby, Victoria, requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality, ensuring that all products meet stringent industry standards. The successful candidate will contribute to the safety and effectiveness of defence technologies, making a significant impact on national security.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical components and systems according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Conduct tests on assembled products to ensure functionality and compliance with quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the assembly process.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly processes and test results.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to improve assembly techniques and product quality.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
What you bring
- Completion of a relevant vocational qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical assembly or a similar role, preferably within the Defence & Military industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
