We are currently seeking Full-Time Marketing Executive to join our Commercial team at Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing, you will play a key role in championing the day-to-day marketing activity that keeps our operations portfolio across rooms, conference and events, and food and beverage outlets brands visible, consistent and growing.
As our next Marketing Executive, your duties will include:
- Assist the leadership team in developing and executing the marketing and e-commerce strategy by coordinating marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Build and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders relating to marketing campaigns, including custom menus, conference offerings and event and seasonal activations.
- Assist with the preparation and implementation of all promotional plans for the hotel.
- Assist in the distribution of materials when required e.g. hotel brochures, sales kits for external promotions.
- Assist in creating content for print, online and digital distribution, always ensuring the Hotel marketing guidelines and brand standards are adhered too.
- Ensure that the stock of stationary items are accounted for and well maintained.
- Liaise with the sales team, senior management, corporate and suppliers as required.
- Assist in developing and producing sales support materials for hotel (newsletters, brochures, mailers, promotion materials, in-room information, guides, etc.)
- Assist director of food and beverage and other operational departments in the development and production of signage, menus, and other F&B collateral materials
- Contribute to employee newsletter, announcements and other printed materials published by the talent & culture department
- Monitor all printed materials to ensure adherence to corporate identity standards
- Adhere to the marketing department budget through the Purchase Order System ensuring campaigns, promotions are kept within allocated funds.
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role
- Bachelor or tertiary qualified hospitality professional with at least 2 years’ experience in either Hotel operations or a Sales and Marketing role.
- Ability to work in an extremely fast paced environment where excellent planning and execution skills are vital.
- Keeping up to date with the latest demands and trends within the marketing field including that of digital marketing and social media.
- Strong networking and liaison skills with an ability to work effectively and sensitively with all types of stakeholders to develop effective partnerships.
- Working to tight deadlines whilst managing stakeholder expectations in a timely manner.
- Strong focus and passion for hotel operations.
- Sound understanding of emerging trends in the industry.
- Multicultural awareness and able to work with people from diverse cultures.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members.
