Springboard Opera

About Springboard Opera

Springboard Opera is a Queensland-based company creating performance and professional development opportunities for emerging opera artists while exploring new ways for opera to connect with audiences, communities, and contemporary cultural life.

Since 2023, the company has delivered more than 20 performances ranging from intimate pop-up events to regional touring and main stage concerts with orchestra. Our work supports emerging artists, develops new audiences, and contributes to a more sustainable and connected operatic ecosystem.

About the role

Springboard Opera is seeking to appoint 1–2 new Non-Executive Directors as the organisation enters its next phase of development.

The current Board has successfully guided the organisation through its establishment and early growth phase, building strong artistic, operational, strategic, and governance foundations. Future appointments are intended to complement these existing strengths by broadening external networks, specialist depth, implementation capacity, and long-term organisational sustainability.
