The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Business - Australia, the HR Generalist will be the go-to HR professional for the Australian operation - supporting field and corporate employees across a broad remit that spans employee relations, payroll, talent acquisition, and workplace health and safety.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives wearing multiple hats, enjoys working closely with managers and employees alike, and takes pride in building a compliant, people-focused workplace culture. You will also partner with the global HR team to implement and localise new HR initiatives across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers across Australia
  • Support managers with employee relations matters including performance management, coaching, disciplinary processes, and workplace concerns
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment — job postings, screening, interviews, offer letters, and onboarding
  • Process and coordinate payroll for Australian employees, including benefits, leave, superannuation, and payroll-related changes
  • Administer employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, systems, equipment, and orientation
  • Support the implementation and administration of the company's Health & Safety program, including incident reporting, investigations, and return-to-work coordination
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and compliance reporting within HR systems
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation, workplace standards, and company policies
  • Partner with the global HR team to implement and localise new HR initiatives across Australia
  • Support employee engagement, training activities, and internal HR programs as required

What We're Looking For

  • Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience
  • CAHRI designation or working towards completion - considered an asset
  • Experience as an HR Generalist across HR operations, payroll, and recruitment
  • Payroll processing and employee benefits administration experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Australian employment standards, HR practices, and workplace legislation
  • Experience with Rippling, considered an asset, not essential
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organisation
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive matters
  • Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
