Investment Associate, Credit Investments

JMES are partnering with a global, institutional investor to assist with the hire of an Associate for their Australian investment team. Based in Sydney, the Associate will work closely with senior investment professionals to provide support across the analysis, diligence and execution of credit investments. The role offers exposure to structured and credit investment opportunities across the real asset and renewables sectors. Working as part of a high calibre team of investment professionals you will get full exposure to the end-to-end investment cycle and will work closely with the firms' offshore teams so will feel part of a larger global network.

Key responsibilities of the role will include;

• Supporting the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities
• Conducting financial analysis, modelling and due diligence
• Assisting in the preparation of investment committee materials and transaction documentation
• Undertake market research and thematic analysis across sectors and asset classes
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders

To be successful you will have ideally gained 2-3 years' experience in either investment banking / M&A, debt advisory or real asset investing and will be looking to build out a career on the buy side. You will have strong financial modelling skills, deep analytical rigour, an excellent academic track record and will display a high level of intellectual curiosity. You will work collaboratively with others, will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and will have strong attention to detail.
