The Role
This is a multi-disciplined role reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with an enthusiastic and high performing team. The role is internal and external stakeholder focused contributing to the efficient management of LGMA accounts and procurement functions.
The Finance Officer is responsible for:
- Ensuring all activities associated with LGMA accounts payable and receivable function are conducted in an efficient and accurate manner
- Undertaking the preparation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Business Activity Statement (BAS) returns, and prepare year end financials for review by our external auditors
- Management of payroll and associated records
- Supporting compliance with relevant Parliamentary Acts, legal and ethical standards
- Contribute to financial reports, audit workpapers and budget preparation
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar finance or bookkeeping role
- Current registration as a BAS Agent (or eligibility to register)
Hours and Conditions
Hours: 20 to 30 hours a fortnight
Work Location: Hybrid role based out of the Brisbane CBD
