Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Sales Manager role based at Elli Prahran in Prahran, VIC.
The Sales Manager is the property's commercial engine, responsible for generating and converting leads across corporate, project-based, relocation and leisure segments, with a clear focus on maximising occupancy and revenue for the Prahran property.
Day-to-day, this means prospecting new business, managing a live sales pipeline, conducting site inspections, preparing proposals, negotiating rates and closing bookings. The role spans the full lead-to-booking journey: from first contact with a corporate account or relocation agency through to contracted stay and seamless handover to the operations team.
Beyond the pipeline, the Sales Manager builds and maintains relationships with corporate accounts, relocation agencies, travel partners and local businesses and works closely with the Operations Manager to ensure sales commitments align with operational capacity, pricing and availability. This is a self-directed role suited to someone who can manage a meaningful commercial remit efficiently within a part-time schedule.
Specific responsibilities include
- Owning the sales pipeline across short stay (OTA, direct) and extended stay (corporate, relocation) channels
- Building and converting corporate, agent and relocation accounts, with a focus on inner-Melbourne and project workforce segments
- Negotiating and administering corporate rate agreements, RFPs and extended stay contracts
- Conducting property inspections and managing the full lead-to-booking journey
- Monitoring occupancy, ADR and RevPAR against budget; presenting monthly pipeline and conversion reports to the Elli Living leadership team
- Contributing to local marketing initiatives, partnerships and campaigns that strengthen Elli Living's brand presence in Melbourne
Qualifications
- 4-6+ years in hotel sales, serviced apartments or corporate accommodation
- Proven ability to build, manage and convert a pipeline across corporate, agent and direct channels
- Established relationships with corporate accounts, relocation partners in Melbourne, highly regarded
- Comfortable managing a sales remit part-time with autonomy and minimal supervision
- Understanding of rate structures, RFP processes and extended stay contracting
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
